Stallions Flag Loses Hard Fought Game To Falcons

The Northville Stallions Flag team lost a hard fought game to the Livonia Falcons, 34-31, Sunday at Bentley Field in Livonia. After a kick-off return by the Falcons on the opening play, Collin Dowling scored a rushing touchdown to make the score 7-6. After a long drive resulting in a touchdown for the Falcons, Brody Domeracki had a touchdown run and pulled the Stallions closer, 13-12. The Falcons were driving late in the 1st half, but Logan Toomey halted the scoring drive with a flag pull at the 1 yard line on the last play of the half to keep the score at 13-12 Falcons.

Zac Slagle took the 2nd half kick-off back for a touchdown to put the Stallions up 19-13. The Stallions and Falcons traded TD's in the 5th quarter, led by Daniel Chacon's 35-yard TD run. Brody Domeracki scored a go-ahead TD in the 6th to put the Stallions up 31-28; however, a late TD by the Falcons secured the win, 34-31. The strong defensive effort was led by Erik Brown, Zac Slagle, and Logan Toomey. The Stallions will look to regroup against the Livonia Blue Jays on September 10th.
