Stallions Defeat Colts to Take The Shoe!

The Stallions held off the Colts in a back and forth battle that came down to the final minutes where the Stallions got a key first down and took a knee to finalize the victory. 

Quarter 1 was a defensive battle ending 8-0 in the Colts favor after a touchdown and successful 2 point conversion. 

Quarter 2 kicked off with a strong Stallions drive capped off by a 10 yard Jacob Vigna touchdown run. Extra point no good, 8-6 Colts on top. The Colts drove right down the field to the 5 yard line where the Stallions held strong, stopping the Colts on 4th down with a Brant Stachura flag pull on the 2 yard line to prevent a touchdown. On the ensuing possession the Stallions were moving the ball in the waning seconds of the clock when Harrison Katarski got outside and took one 60 yards for a touchdown pulling the Stallions ahead 12-8.

Quarter 3 started with the Stallions halting the Colts drive forcing a turnover on downs. Caden TenBroeck instantly made his presence felt, ripping off runs of 20 and 10 yards, before punching it in on a 5 yard touchdown run. Caden finished the drive off converting the extra point making it 19-8 Stallions. The Colts fought back, grinding down the field before breaking a 45 yard touchdown run with 3.8 seconds left in the half. Extra point good, 19-15 Stallions going into halftime. 

Quarter 4 saw the Stallions get the ball to start the half. The Stallions came out of the locker room fired up as Wes Diebolt showed off his game-breaking speed with a 40 yard touchdown run. Extra point no good, 25-15 Stallions ahead. The resilient Colts charged right down the field capped by an 11 yard touchdown run and 2 point conversion making the score 25-23 in Stallions favor to end the quarter.

Quarter 5 kicked off with a strong Stallion drive where Harrison Katarski got into the end zone on a 21 yard scamper. Bruising Brant Stachura got the extra point on a fullback dive making the score 32-23 Stallions. The Colts again fought back after a score, moving the ball right down the field on a methodical drive ending in a touchdown and extra point conversion making it 32-30 Stallions to end the quarter. 

Quarter 6 saw the Stallions come out of the gate quick with a Franco Brown 45 yard run down to the 10 yard line. The Stallions battled multiple penalties, including Caden TenBroeck getting a touchdown called back after trucking a player on the goal line. TenBroeck refused to be denied, later powering in a 10 yard touchdown run. Extra point good by Caden TenBroeck, 39-30 Stallions. The Stallions D fought hard on the ensuing Colts drive, before the Colts broke free on the outside for a 38 yard touchdown run. Extra point good, 39-38 Stallions ahead. With just over 2 minutes left, the Stallions were forced to get a first down or hand the ball back to the Colts with the game on the line. Franco Brown sealed the deal with a huge 25 yard first down run. The Stallions ran a few plays before taking a knee to end the game.

Final Score, 39-38 Stallions victory!!
