Northville Youth Football Association

The Northville Colts Freshman team visited the Novi Bobcats home turf on the first day of October, with weather feeling like the middle of summer.  Team colors were overshadowed by the abundance of the color pink, as players, cheerleaders, coaches and fans wore this color to show their support for Breast Cancer awareness.   Colts kick off first, with two sacks by #22, Owen Medvecky, on the Bobcats QB, the Colts push them down the field.  Colts ball on the two yard line, #22, Owen Medvecky, secured the first touchdown of the day.  Extra point is not good.  6-0 Colts.  Colts #21, Micah Czap, retrieves a fumble.  No score off of that play. Turnover on downs.  The Bobcats recover a Colts fumble.  Novi with a long run, almost going all the way until an amazing one handed tackle by #22, Owen Medvecky.  Bobcats pass incomplete with Colts #21, Micha Czap, almost recovering.  Northville's #9, Carter Williams, will stop Novi with the interception.   End of the first, 6-0 Colts.    

The second quarter will start with Colts turn over on downs.  Bobcats try to move down the field but are stopped by #2, Alexander Smith forcing turnover on downs.   Colts #11, Shota Nagai, will run for a few yards with #22, Owen Medvecky, capturing another Colts touchdown.   #50, Stanislaw Sikorski, attempts the extra point, no good.  With four minutes left in the 2nd quarter we are at a score of 12-0 Colts. Bobcats take the ball.  Colts #87, Sawyer Mathews, almost intercepting the pass.  Colts defense holds the Bobcats.    #12, Rocco Leone, to #48, Maximus Kegelmann, with a nice long pass.  Next play Colts will score again as #22, Owen Medvecky, hands off to #12, Rocco Leone, to run into the end zone.  Colts touchdown! Extra point is missed.   We are at 18-0 Colts.  Bobcats return a kick going all the way to secure their first time on the scoreboard.  Novi missed the extra point. Score stands at 18-6.  #12, Rocco Leone, hand off to #9, Carter Williams, almost getting the Colts in the end zone again.  We will head into halftime, 18-6 Colts. 

Both Northville and Novi cheerleaders keep the crowds going with performances.  Way to go girls! 

Black attack continue to strengthen their skills during the development period. Bobcats kick to Colts to open up the third quarter.  Long carry by #18, Connor Braziunas.  #12, Rocco Leone, will secure a Colts first down.  With a long carry by #22, Owen Medvecky, puts the Colts just short of the end zone.  Touchdown secured by #22, Owen Medvecky, extra point no good.  24-6 Colts.  Colts #5, Camden Daibess, stop Bobcats, but Novi will eventually gain more points as they score their second touchdown.  Missing the extra point we are now at a score of 24-13 Colts.  The Colts continue to move the ball down the field.  #12, Rocco Leone, with a long carry and #22, Owen Medvecky, will be just shy of the end zone.  End of third quarter.  

We start the 4th quarter with another Colts touchdown by #48, Maximus Kegelmann, missed extra point puts the score at 30-13 Colts.  Colts continue to stop the Bobcats with tackles by #87, Sawyer Mathews, and #50, Stanislaw Sikorski.  Another interception for Colts as #22, Owen Medvecky, takes the ball away from Novi.  Two minutes left in the game; Colts will fumble.  Bobcats will not capitalize on it and will end the game fumbling.   Colts will take the win, 30-13.  Nice job boys!
