It was a beautiful Saturday for football, a warm and sunny day with a cool breeze, serving as a reminder that fall was upon us in Michigan. The Livonia Falcons were playing host to the Northville Stallions. This was a special occasion, as the Livonia Falcons were celebrating family day for their program. The field and stands were wonderfully decorated. Families were invited onto the field for ceremonies before the games. As is to be expected every year, the Livonia Falcons were a fantastic host. The bleachers were filled with friends and family members, the concessions and announcers were rocking, and there were games, pop-up sales, and raffle baskets to participate in.

The Stallions began the football game kicking off to the Livonia Falcons. A short series on defense led to the Falcons punting the ball to the Stallions. The Stallions quickly went to work on the ground, capping off a drive with a touchdown run by Drew Meussner to give the Stallions the early lead. The extra point kick from Alexander Baird was good and the team led 8-0. Another punt and a short drive later resulted in a QB keeper with Braylon Brown finding the end zone for the second score of the day. On the ensuing Falcons drive, Braylon Brown anticipated a flare pass perfectly. He jumped the route, intercepting the pass and taking it to the house, giving the Stallions an early three-score lead. Back on offense, the Falcons were able to answer back with a long touchdown pass. However, the Stallions immediately responded with another touchdown run up the middle from Drew Meussner and an extra point pass conversion from Louie Green to Collin Dowling finished the drive. The teams continued to trade scores with a long touchdown run from the Falcons answer by a touchdown run from Colin Richardson.

To start the second half, Drew Meussner returned the opening kick for a touchdown. The Stallions forced a turnover on downs, and Louie Green immediately capitalized, finding Emerson Emery on deep touchdown pass. On the following Falcons possession, a low snap and poor handoff resulted in a loose ball that Michael Stefani jumped on, giving the Stallions possession deep in Falcon territory. The Stallions stalled out and gave the ball back to the Falcons on downs. The Falcons took advantage with a long touchdown run, which would be the last score of the game.

The final was a 46-25 victory for the Northville Stallions, who are now 2-0 and will continue their road trip next weekend at Garden City, where they will face the 1-1 Garden City Cougars.

Go Stallions!
