The Stallions Junior Varsity played their first game of the season on the road traveling to Bentley field on Saturday, August 24th to take on the host Livonia Blue Jays.

The Stallions Crush team quickly took advantage of their first possession, scoring early with a 60-yard touchdown run from Brayden Vigna.

The rest of the first quarter was a back-and-forth between the Stallions and Blue Jays. Daniel Stelea blocked a punt by the Blue Jays, and they battled it out and ended the quarter with no points on the board.

The second quarter opened with Stallions in possession, and Daniel Stelea quickly ran it in for a touchdown. Ryan Spadafora cleanly kicked for 2 points, bringing the score to 8-0.

Next up, Alex Georgiadis kicked off with perfect placement to allow the Stallions to recover the ball. A slew of penalty’s kept the Stallions from scoring. The Stallion’s defense also held firm to finish the half.

The Crush line opened the second half and continued to build momentum. Stallions defense held firm, fending off the Blue Jays’ offense with several tackles by Lucas Stefani.

The Blues Jays defense attempted to fend off scoring by the Stallions but were unsuccessful when quarterback, Louis Green ran it for 38 yards scoring the second touchdown of the game. Once again, Ryan Spadafora converted the two-point kick, bringing the score to 16-0 Stallions.

The Stallions continued to stifle the Blue Jays offense heading into the fourth quarter. Stallions’ Jack Dellar started their offensive drive with a 20-yard gallup. Louis Green added another sensational run with 25-yards gained, by breaking at least five tackles on the carry.

On the next play, Daniel Stelea put the icing on the cake by walking into the end zone untouched with the help of his offensive line opening up holes all day. The PAT was unsuccessful, bringing the score to 22-0 Stallions.

Stallions’ defense was rock solid the entire game keeping the Blue Jays scoreless. In the end, Stallions Junior Varsity landed a win and will take their 1-0 record home to take on the Walled Lake Braves on September 11, 2022.
