Stallions celebrate

Fans and Parents of the JV Stallions were taken on an emotional thrill ride by the team on their way to their second victory of the season. The team got off to a shaky start when the Orioles returned a forced fumble for a touchdown to get out to an early 6-0 lead. The Stallions struggled early on offense trying to find space to drive the ball downfield. Both defenses played strong, trading possessions back and forth without allowing any points until late in the half. With only a minute left in the half, Louis Green found Braylon Brown on a deep pass to set up a scoring run from Drew Meussner. Alex Baird kicked the extra point successfully. After nearly trailing the entire first half, the Stallions were able to shift the momentum and carry an 8-6 lead into halftime.

The Stallions came out hot in the second half. Tough play from the offensive line and runs from Jack Deller, Daniel Stelea, and Drew Meussner had the Stallions moving the ball down the field. The team found the end zone for the second time of the day with a big run from Drew Meussner to give the Stallions a 14-0 lead.

On the very next drive, Drew Meussner scooped an Oriole fumble and took it to the house for a touchdown. Alex Baird kicked the extra point only to have it called back on a penalty. With nerves of steel, Alex backed up five yards and drilled the kick through the uprights a second time to secure the 22-6 lead. The Stallions' defense stood strong for the remainder of the game to ensure the Orioles were not given an opportunity to score again.

Another great win for the Stallions JV team. Now they head back home to defend their turf against the Redford Eagles. Go Stallions!
