A Great Game of Firsts for the Stallions

The Northville Stallions Freshman team put on a show for family and friends Saturday, showing the results of all the hard work they have put into the season.

In the first quarter, Daniel “The Animal” Stelea opened the scoring for the Stallions with a powerful run up the middle to give the Stallions their first touchdown of the season. The defense made great stops throughout the first half, highlighted by a sack from Drew Meussner and a fumble recovery by Andre Belcher.  The Stallions struck again late in the first half. A pass to Andrew Prince on the right for 5 yards set up Colin Richardson for a touchdown run up the left side. A QB Keeper from Logan Toomey added an extra point and the Stallions took a 13-0 lead into halftime.

Receiving the ball to open the second half, Evan Clow had a great return all the way to the Eagles 28. Then, Louis Green had a very fast run for the 28-yard touchdown to take a 19-0 lead early in the 3rd. The defense stood strong throughout the second half with great plays including a key interception by Logan Toomey. The Stallions would add one more touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Jack Dellar opened a drive with a run to the right. Then, Louie Green threw deep to the right side of the end zone to find Michael Stefani for a great touchdown catch.

The Stallions defense held strong all day, giving very few yards, generating two turnovers, and giving the offense great field position. The Stallions won with a final score of 25-0 to secure their first victory of the season. The Stallions will go on the road again this weekend to face the Livonia Orioles. Go Stallions!
