Stallions on offense

This weeks' Stallions action brought the Northville Colts to sunny Tom Holzer field in the Battle for the Shoe.  The Northville Stallions took a new offensive scheme to the field but fell short with a final score of 26-0.

In the first half developmental matchup, Parker Gregory had great run only to have the offense stall within striking distance of the goal line.  The second half brought a 20 yard run by Nick Cessante only to be stalled on the Colts 6 yard line.  The defense held the developmental Colts with a final score of 0-0.

The Northville Stallions came out on the field fired up with a new offense that began to move the ball with great runs by Erik Brown and a 4th down conversion by Drew Meussner,  unfortunately, the Stallions fell short of the goal line.  The second quarter brought good tackles by Brown and a fumble recovery by Collin Richardson.  But those weren't enough to keep the colts off the scoreboard and the first half ended with a score of 12-0.

In the second half, the Stallions came out fired up with a kickoff recovery by Richardson. The offense got back on track with great runs by Daniel Stelea and Brown, but the heat of the day finally caught up to them and couldn’t convert those into Stallion points.   As the clock ran out, the Colts won the Battle of the Shoe with a 26-0 victory.
